Who are BEEF?
The Brunswick East Entertainment Festival are professional joy-makers. They activate public spaces, events and festivals bringing lightness, play and a whole lot of heart wherever they go. Created in response to the 2020 pandemic lockdowns, 4 award winning performers began dancing on their front lawn every day. Dressed in pink workout wear and colourful wigs the group went viral, attracting national news coverage and building a loyal following.
The lockdowns have ended but BEEF continues to thrive, bringing laughter, dance and connection to public spaces all over Victoria.
They specialise in dance-based performance, with a focus on positivity and inclusion.

Join us, the Brunswick East Entertainment Festival (BEEF) in a series of free weekly dancing and movement workshops for older people that will finish in a special public performance the 2024 Glenroy Festival.
No experience necessary. Open to all abilities. Morning tea is provided.
When: Fridays, 10am -12pm from 15 March to 3 May
Where: Glenroy Senior Citizens Centre, 2A Cromwell Road, Glenroy
Performance: 5 May at Glenroy Festival, Glenroy Community Hub and Bridget Shortell Reserve.

The Famous Love Heart Dancers
I'm so excited and I just can't hide it!
The Famous Love Heart Dancers are 100% positivity. They dance to a dynamic, high energy playlist and greet everyone with joy. They break down social barriers instantly as they greet every stranger as if they are already good friends. The elation is irresistible for anyone who engages with them. As seen on Channel 9 News, The Morning Show and in The Age.

The Rockers
Oooh... Barracuda!
The Rockers are a dancing trio of characters who rove about public space with a killer playlist from the 70s. They are an instant rock concert and the mosh is infectious. People often dance with them or sing along. The Rockers embody radical freedom, they are a throwback to the rebellious and revolutionary times of Patti Smith and Led Zeppelin.

Tennis Trio
Hit me with your best shot!
A sporty activation for sports themed events! Commissioned by Barkly Square Shopping Centre's Australian Open Activation. This trio dance in unison to upbeat tracks like 'Let's Get Loud' and 'I Like to Move It Move It'. They punctuate their tennis dancing with comic skits and routines of mimed tennis.

Boi Band Battle Royal
It's gonna be me.
Boi Band Battle Royale is here! This spectacular public activation is a dance-off between two epic boi bands - The Frontstreet Boiz and OuttaSYNC. Brimming with 90s/00s Video Hits nostalgia. The boiz bring their own boombox blasting bangers from N*SYNC, Backstreet Boys and Five and more.
Originally commissioned by City of Melbourne and Midsumma Festival. BBBR can be scaled up or down to suit your event. It works well in outdoor spaces, piazzas and amphitheatres.

The Dancing Christmas Trees
Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell tree.
The happiest Christmas trees you've ever met! Bringing joyful vibes wherever they go, this performance suits any end-of-year event or activation. A suprising, dynamic and delightful way to bring holiday joy. Accompanied by upbeat secular Christmas music the performers dance in unison and pose for photos, greeting passersby and wishing people ‘happy holidays’.

Walk Watchers
Eyes up, phones down!
We teamed up the with TAC, Graffiti Group and Eddie Fitzpatrick to create and deliver a roving public activation to compliment their safe walking campaign during Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2021.
These hilarious and lovable blokes highlighted safety awareness throughout the CBD. Best way to educate? Comedy.

The Witches of East Brunswick
I put a spell on you.
This coven of witches are perfect for Halloween! They dance and rove, working with architecture and play silently with onlookers. Their custom made masks are a total face transformation and draw people into their cartoon like spooky world.
